Dare to Rise series continues to hit new heights

The EHF’s successful ‘Dare to Rise’ series of exclusive documentaries on the Home of Handball YouTube channel, focused on the stars of the Machineseeker EHF Champions League, continued in 2025.

In February, the focus was OTP Bank – PICK Szeged goalkeeper Roland Mikler, highlighting the defining moments in the Hungarian’s long career. Mikler opened up about his family life and his moments of self-doubt, as well as talking about his longevity in the game.

In September the series premiered its biggest episode yet: a feature-length documentary about the epic final weekend of the competition, the TruckScout24 EHF FINAL4 2025 in Cologne. Fans were invited to relive the weekend through the eyes of its stars: SC Magdeburg goalkeeper Sergey Hernandez and his Barça counterpart Emil Nielsen, Füchse Berlin’s Mathias Gidsel, and more.

Packed with drama and emotion, the documentary has had thousands of views since it premiered.
